blog #1:What is a blog?

Honestly I thought that this article was dry and I had trouble being able to take anything away from it.  Something that stood out was that Tim Jarrett thinks that blogs will revolutionize the world.  He believes that this will change the way people write articles, publish papers, and teach in the classroom.  Jarrett says that blogs are personally published documents on the web, with attribution and date, collected in a single place, generally published with a static structure to facilitate incoming links from other sources, and updated with some regularity and frequency from every few days to several times a day.  On a blog you can keep all of a persons work in one place and see how that persons ideas have change.  You can't do that on  website.
Blogs may give people empowerment because it may give them a chance to post a magazine article of their own without being a journalist.  Through blogging you are able to develop a mentor tutor relationships over the web that you would not have discovered otherwise
